Desert Hedgehog

Hemiechinus aethiopicus commonly known as the Desert Hedgehog is a species of mammal in the Erinaceidae family, found in dry, barren desert, semi-desert and dry steppe areas like the Middle East. This type of hedgehog is one of the smallest of its kind, weighing in at 283-512grams and 13-27cm long. It feeds on insects and snakes and based on the conservation status it belongs to the least concerned group.
